ABOUT THE GIRL BEHIND THE BLOG

You may know me by my common internet handles of @vivi and @vixxverlice. I can be found on platforms such as Letterboxd, Last.FM, and AOTY (Album of the Year). I have been passionate about writing for years now and have been pursuing blogging in various forms for a considerable amount of time now. 

My main topic is music - specifically music reviews. I try to keep consistency with my reviews and pinpoint both spectrums of an album; no matter good or bad. I vary my taste profile and my personal listening habits on a regular which can be reflected upon within my various reviews. I keep a schedule and take breaks in between from time to time, but reviewing is my main pursuit. I dream of being published for my work and making a name/living for myself through my writing, and I am working every day towards becoming an even stronger author. I specialize in reviews, but I like to write about my personal life to people when I am chatting with them (depending on the person); this multimedia and ease-of-use blog gives me an easy and pleasant outlet to do so while showcasing my interests, hobbies, and writing.

I consider myself to be a very social person, and writing helps me to communicate a lot of my thoughts to a wider scope of people. I do a lot of socializing on AOTY in particular which has introduced me to countless people that I am highly thankful for. The discovery of AOTY was one that changed my life; and I would not be on the path that I am on currently without it. It awakened a desire and passion for writing that I had never had before, and it made me an entirely new person little by little when it comes to writing and outlook on various forms of media. I have discovered countless albums, songs, and artists through the site - and it has made me a strong writer with a diverse music palate (even moreso than before I had an account on the site).  

Outside of writing I am a fan of movies, TV, baking, cooking, and sewing. I balance my hobbies and consistent writing schedule with my schooling - making it a challenging balancing act at times. This helps to strengthen my workflow and ambition - even though I feel as if I am an overachiever at times. Blogging will be a better outlet for me to get more of my interests and passions onto the screen, with my work in the kitchen and thoughts on various forms of entertainment being something I would like to share and write about on a somewhat larger scale than what I had before.

Using Blogger for my writing felt like the easiest method for me due to the ease of access and sleek interface. I have tried to make my own sites before but they lacked the functionality and ease of uploading that I had hoped for; which is not the case when I use Blogger.

Within my hobbies I am also an avid collector. I collect various forms of physical media, makeup brands, and fragrances - meaning that I will never have to worry about my favorite movies not being available to stream with my large DVD collection. I personally enjoy DVD collection due to the special features and exclusivity of the discs, with Kevin Smith's films being a particular area of interest for me collectionwise (as well as generally), partially due to the sheer amount of content and special features packed onto each movie, it shows that he truly cares for his fanbase which is something very important and wonderful to me. 

I hope to keep up and tend to this blog a little more than my previous projects, and it will be a bit of an on-the-side project of mine with my AOTY reviewing being my core focus and source. I will upload some reviews from my AOTY page to this blog from time to time, and I hope to touch on a variety of different topics within pop culture, media, and my hobbies/personal experiences.
