The Grammy Awards Red Carpet: 2025

The annual Grammy Awards season has graced the masses this February 2, 2025, with stars such as Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan walking the famous red carpet during the pre-awards start of the show. 

Starting with the hottest names in the music industry currently, Taylor Swift surprised fans by appearing on the red carpet in a glistening one-shoulder strapped red dress, a shocking colour change for the star - who would've guessed? It's a more revealing outfit than expected, and it's safe to say that she made her entrance known with an outfit that is completely non-reflective of the "era" she is currently in, could this mean something new is on the way for the popstar?































Sabrina Carpenter walked the carpet in her signature baby-blue aesthetic, with a fluffy dress that highlights her figure with drapes of satin and a fabulously cut gown, miss Carpenter stunned with her shorter, curled hair and signature "old Hollywood" glamour.


Chappell Roan stunned in a wonderfully "her" styled gown, with ruffles and designs galore - her outfit clashed just enough to create a graceful chaos that fits her image to the max.


Charli XCX graced the carpet with one of my personal favorite looks - a gorgeous grey gown that drapes across her figure and glides against the ground, it's a stunningly cloudlike dress that suits her tone incredibly well; and it's clear that everybody wanted to dress their absolute best on this wildly important night for everybody's careers.


Clairo walked the carpet in a gorgeously retro polka-dotted getup, with her unique outfit choice adding a bit of spice to the red carpet and giving her a very graceful & sweet appearance for the night.


Gracie Abrams had a similarly sweet & unique outfit with her cream-white getup with just the right amount of elegant simplicity and small detailing to make the outfit feel more textured with more depth to the pieces she had on.


Billie Eilish arrived in her signature streetwear style in a baggy black outfit, showcasing her cool demeanor and personality through her clothing for the ceremony. 


Olivia Rodrigo took a similarly simplistic approach with her outfit, wearing a backless black dress that while simple managed to stun and make for one of the most gorgeous gowns on the red carpet for the night.


Raye was another artist to stun in a gorgeous black gown, with gorgeous gem embellishments and a shaped dress to give her more of a silhouette in her outfit, she wore one of the most stunning dresses of the carpet.


The new mother Kali Uchis stunned in a Y2K-esque patterned gown, making a style that might not work on others work wonderfully on her figure.


These aren't the only artists to stun on the carpet, with other names gracing the red carpet with stunning outfits and wonderful fashion choices throughout the entirety of the pre-show walks.

"Brown Cookies" (Brown Butter & Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies)

My very own "brown cookies" were a product of experimentation done for a foods course that I am currently enrolled in. Using brown sugar (no granulated) and brown butter together rather than the traditional creamed butter and brown/granulated combo, the result is a more flavorful and rich cookie.  Baking temperature : 350 ° Fahrenheit (180 °  Celsius)  Bake time : 13-15 minutes depending on the size of the cookies Ingredients: 2 cups (one large stick) unsalted butter 3 3/4 cups brown sugar 4 eggs 6 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoons salt 3 tablespoons baking powder 1 tablespoon vanilla extract (measurements don't matter for this one) Chocolate chips (as much or as little you want) Instructions: Melt the stick(s) of butter in a saucepan (lightly colored if possible) on medium heat on the stovetop. SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE: FRESH

SCORE: 87/100 Sly and the Family Stone are a band with undoubtable and undeniable charm, with Sly Stone being one of the most unique frontmen to ever grace the music industry with his quirky vocal performances and pacing alongside the delightful instrumentation led by the rest of the band, 'Fresh' indeed still sounds fresh decades after its initial release. The album is delightfully funky and wonderfully fun, with the tracks coming together to make a consistent and enjoyable project that is well worth its 39 minute runtime, 'Fresh' is an absolute gem in the funk genre that is far too overlooked when compared to other similar albums. 'Fresh' works best as a all-in-one-go album, with the tracks feeling more like they work on the album than they would outside of the general context of the album. DEFTONES: GORE

DEFTONES: GORE SCORE: 89/100 A shorter and less favored album for many, Deftones' 2016 albums hits the right spots and returns to the form found throughout their 2006 opus 'Saturday Night Wrist'.  For many, 'Gore' manages to be the weakest effort in the deeply complex and delightful discography of the band. It is a less praised album overall - which I was immediately confused by upon playing the first track. The album has the same complexity as their other projects - having a more modern sound and using different soundscapes to make the album unique from their other projects while still keeping the cohesion of their albums up to par.  It's a striking comeback that engulfs their discography with more heavy & scenic tracks, with each song having a different sound than the last and the album coming together quite well.
