FULL OF HELL: GARDEN OF BURNING APPARITIONS

SCORE: 89/100

It's loud and disturbingly noisy - exactly as it should be.

'Garden of Burning Apparitions' is instantly in your face with loud, abrasive sounds that will cater to any fans of heavy, gritty metal full of screams and nonstop speed. It's a striking deathgrind album that provides a great glimpse into the genre, with impressively short tracks that do so much in such a little amount of time - Full Of Hell are clearly a band where the members know what they're going for; and they do it well.

The album feels like a hard kick to the face the moment you press play, and it makes itself known in an instant. The songs know when to stop and start, and it leads to an album that knows where it's going - one that doesn't overstay its welcome and one that will leave your head spinning faster than you can say stop. There is no holding on for the ride that this album will take you on - but it's worth the intensity.

There are some unfortunate moments on this album that do tamper with the overall quality - but the level of experimentation on the LP is something to marvel at; not all of it works, but it all remains impressive enough to make the entire album worthwhile. It'll make Full Of Hell a band that will stick in your mind - and this album is a whirlwind full of emotions and heavy sounds that are almost too much to process; but in the best way imaginable.
