VARIOUS ARTISTS: JACKASS NUMBER TWO
SCORE: 96/100
The second installment in the Jackass franchise is even gnarlier, grittier, and a whole lot funnier than the first. This soundtrack combines the chaotic nature of the films with mixed genres, original tracks, interludes, and a whole lotta rock. The tracks on this album are even better than the first movie's soundtrack, and the original tracks made for the film are all incredible.
It's an incredibly fun album that complies great artists and tracks into a soundtrack that emulates the energy of the film perfectly. It's a striking display of energy and knowing which bits come with which songs make the album that much more fun to listen to. It's an absolute must for any fans of the Jackass movies, and you might just find your new favorite song here.
There's an incredible selection of bands and musical styles to be found on this album, making it something where there is more than likely something for everyone present. The overall structure of the soundtrack places the tracks out of order from when they appear in the film (for the most part), but it's done in a way that gives the album more clarity rather than focusing on accuracy to the film.
'Jackass Number Two' is easily my favorite film of all time, from the nonstop energy to the way it can make me laugh every single time I view it, it's truly a timeless classic full of some of my favorite people, favorite songs, bands, artists, and of course, stunts. Listening to the soundtrack album is just as fun as watching the movie, and the songs here are all legitimately very good both inside and outside of the film's context.
From Turbonegro to Elvis, this album truly has it all and then some. There isn't a lack of energy to be found on this album, and it's a perfectly formatted soundtrack with great soundbites from the movie as well as inclusions of all of the songs that can be heard during the film's runtime.
(The version of this I listened to was/is missing some songs, thanks, Spotify...)
